Dr. Paul Sampson - Optometrist / Managing Partner

Dr. Paul Sampson attended the University of S.D. earning his Doctorate of Optometry at Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Sampson is a native of Flandreau, South Dakota and is a member of the South Dakota Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Sampson was born and raised in Flandreau, SD. His father was also an optometrist. When Dr. Sampson was in junior high he started helping his dad at the office and soon realized that optometry would be a profession that he would also like.
He obtained his undergraduate degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in chicago. In 1991,
he opened Dakota Vision Center. When asked what he thinks sets Dakota Vision apart from the rest, Paul said “The willingness to provide extraordinary service and a staff of highly qualified opticians.” He and his wife, Trisha have two grown daughters, Chrissy and Margaret. When he's not helping people to see better, Paul enjoys golfing, traveling and spending time with his grandson, Jack.
Dr. Vance Ankrum - Optometrist / Managing Partner

Dr. Vance Ankrum is a graduate of South Dakota State University, earning his Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University. He is a native of Highmore, South Dakota. Dr. Ankrum is a member of the South Dakota Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
A passion for treating eye problems and flying airplanes keeps Dr.Vance Ankrum soaring through life. To Dr. Vance Ankrum, working with eye diseases is one of the things he enjoys most about his job. Dr. Ankrum is one of the managing partners in Dakota Vision Center in Sioux Falls, SD. He is trained to identify and manage a wide variety of eye diseases, to provide contact lens services, and to provide general eye health care.
Dr. Ankrum was born in Pierre and raised on a farm near Highmore, SD. He and his wife, Tammie, have 2 daughters, Alexa and Alivia.
Dr. Rob Haeder - Optometrist / Managing Partner

Dr. Haeder attended South Dakota State University and received his Doctrate of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry. He is a native of Wolsey, SD. He is a member of the South Dakota Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association.
Asked what he likes about being an optometrist Dr. Haeder replies “Helping people see better and educating patients on how to prevent vision threatening diseases such as macular degeneration. His advice for preventing macular degeneration “Wear sunglasses that block UV rays and eat a diet rich in green leafy vegetables.”
Dr. Haeder and his wife, Tracy, have four sons. Outdoor activities including golfing, fishing, hunting and playing ball with his sons keep Dr. Haeder busy in his free time.
