There is a lot of behind-the-scenes work that gets done
at Dakota Vision Center. Here are a few of the faces of our professional
staff who are making sure that you get the "Best Care in Sight."

Joanie Smith has a talent for adjusting glasses and assessing patients' needs. As a Certified Optician and optical lab technician, she has the expertise and experience to help with crafting eyewear, and to help choose the perfect frame and lens to achieve best-corrected vision. Joanie has been working in the optometry field for over 24 years and has worked at Dakota Vision since the first day it opened in 1991. In her time off she enjoys line dancing with Mike, her husband of 34 years, and she also enjoys swimming, gardening, and making crafts. When asked what she likes best about working at Dakota Vision, Joanie said, " You couldn't ask for nicer people to work for. I've also worked for a commercial chain, and we offer higher quality products and service they can't provide."

Tracy Sharping is one of the first people you meet when you arrive
at Dakota Vision Center. Daily she can be found working at the front
desk, checking in patients and making new appointments for their
return visits. Colleagues are quick to praise Tracy's cheerful disposition
and affinity for working with the public. "I like people, and I enjoy
making patients feel comfortable coming here," Tracy shares. When
asked what she likes best about working at Dakota Vision, Tracy said,
"I like my co-workers. And I like being the Front Desk Team Leader
and having complete support from management." A graduate of SDSU
in sociology and criminal justice, Tracy spends her free time with
her toddler, Gage, and husband Dell. And if the fish are biting,
you might find her on the lake casting a line.

Jason is the newest person to join Dakota Vision Center, having joined the company last February. He is a Certified Optician with 14 years experience working with all optical services including glasses, contact lenses, bifocal lenses, progressive lenses and frame buying. He is also Marketing Team Leader working to promote the Center. When asked why he chose to work at Dakota Vision, Jason said, "Dakota Vision offers a family atmosphere and very low employee turnover, Dakota Vision is one of the best, and I wanted to work for a company like that." What sets Dakota Vision apart from the rest? "It's our personalized, customized care. People come in and work with the same person every time since we have little turnover." Jason lives in Tea with his wife Emily, and their daughter Justine. In his spare time, he enjoys motorcycle riding, getting together with friends, and attending his daughter's sporting events.
